Stupid People
If I email you and tell you that the carseat you have for sale on Craigslist is expired and that's why I flagged it, do NOT relist it. Is a child's life really worth the $20 you want for the expired seat?! Stupid!

Stupid Driver
Argh! I was coming home from Costco and the Credit Union this morning and I was stopped at the green light on Bloom./Bryan to make a left turn. There was a lot of traffic coming so I was just waiting to catch a break. I finally get one and start to turn and hear a honk. I didn't pay much attention to it but all of a sudden the truck behind me barrels AROUND me at the turn light to get in front of me. For those who aren't local, it's only one lane. Now I'm pissed. The light wasn't changing to red so it's not like he was missing it. I of course honked at him and I'm sure the people going the opposite way were bugging out. I got his license # but it's not like I can do anything with it. I was shaking I was so mad. I called dh and I hope the driver thought I was calling the cops. LOL I have my kids in the car. Don't be an idiot driver. Grrrrrr

Dear Neighbor,
Just because you live in a rental home does not give you permission to let the yard go to crap. Your grass is 2 foot tall. Please mow it. I see your car there every day. I see you walking around outside on your phone. Get off the phone and mow your damn grass. If you can't mow it, then hire someone to do it. Thank you.

Ugh!!
It's just been one of those days. It started this morning when I took Logan to school. I wanted to walk to school- he didn't want to so we drove. I found a parking spot up front, go to pull in and some lady is taking up both spaces! She's now in her car trying to back out but I'm in her way now. The way the spaces are angled, I can't just pull out (have to pull out onto the road) and keep going. I had to pull out, drive back across the tracks, do a U turn in the church parking lot and head back towards the school.
Got home and Ian is still whining about a popsicle! He wanted one this morning and dh told him to ask me. Uhhh no. You can not have a popsicle at 8am. Why didn't he tell him that? Then I heard more whining and more whining about various other things.
Went to pick up Logan and decided it was too damn hot to walk as we had to go to tumbling tonight and I didn't want to be sweaty/stinky. Now Ian's whining about not walking to school. Oh and I got bit by an ant waiting for school to let out.
Later on I sent the boys to clean up their room. I popped my head in and Ian is butt naked. He looks at me and says "I didn't peepee in my underwear." Yeah, that means he did. I sent him straight to the bathroom to sit and told Logan to keep cleaning. He's been having too many "accidents" lately and it's really getting on my nerves. He knows he has to go but he doesn't want to stop what he's doing and go. Now I hear from Logan that his floor is wet. Ugh!!! I wondered why all the shoes were neatly placed in matching pairs in a circular area of their room when I popped my head in. Now I know. Ian had put them there on top of where he had peed!!!! He was trying to hide it. So now I have to wipe up pee, wipe the shoes, spray Clorox disinfectant and dry it all while trying to make dinner because we have to leave for tumbling class in less than an hour. I was so mad!
Got dinner done, had the boys sit and eat, got Logan dressed for tumbling, called dh to see if I had to drop off Ian at his office, ate my dinner, fed Bella and when dh walked in, we walked out. Phew. Got to tumbling and the minimal air conditioning they have is apparently broken. It was broken last Thursday too so I thought to bring my Squeeze Breeze fan in to keep Bella cool and me as well. I was melting even with the fan! Logan looked like he been in a shower after he was done with class. It must have been 100 degrees in there.
Now we're home, Bella is in bed, the boys are bathed and getting ready for bed and I still have to go grocery shopping. What a day!

Back to School
And the cars are already speeding thru the school zones. Yes, I'm sure you'll be hearing about it a lot on my blog. Do they not see the big yellow-green or orange cones in the road? Maybe it's the big bright signs they are missing? I guess the kids walking on the sidewalk are all too little to see thru that huge SUV/van's windshield. No, that's not it. They are just MORONS. Stupid, stupid people in their own little world....
I did see my friend I was talking about on Monday. The one with the little girl in Logan's class. Well, she actually spotted me as she was driving by to drop off her dd and since it is a school zone and she had to go slow with traffic and all, she said hi. I know I'll see her on school grounds eventually! And if not, more than likely I'll see her at one of the holiday functions in our family.
I forgot to add, I didn't wake up until 6:46 this morning! OMG. Thanks dh!! I slept thru two flippin' alarms!!! He said he thought I was feeding Bella. She was with me but she had gotten up at like 5am so I had fallen back asleep with her next to me. When did he plan on waking me up? When I had 5 min left to go? Argh.

I feel sick
This just made me feel so ill. Logan and I were leaving tumbling class tonight and as I was strapping Bella in I happened to look over at the car next to us. Inside was an infant carseat (rear facing only) facing forward! (I don't even know if it was strapped in or not) The family had a 9ish yr old girl, a 2-3yr old boy and maybe a 15mo old girl with them. They put the 15mo old in the carseat and the straps were SOOO freakin' loose! I could have pulled her out without a problem. I couldn't let them go without saying something and if you know me, you know it's not easy for me to talk to strangers but I will if I feel strongly enough about something.
So I said- Excuse me, did you know that's a RF only seat?
"mom"(don't know if she's mom or not): yes I know
Me: (dumbfounded) Those straps are also way too loose. In an accident, she'll fly right out of the seat.
"dad"(looks really old): I'll hold her in.
Ummmkay. You're going to hold her in...right. As he's closing the door on me (bc he obviously doesn't want to listen to me) I told them they could get a Scenera at Walmart for about $40. I went back around to Logan's side so I could buckle him in his carseat and I just want to cry for those kids. There was NO carseat for the 2yr old.
I just can not for the life of me understand how you can pay to be on an All Star Cheer squad (over $1900/yr not including travel expenses and yes, I know she's on a team) plus $40/mo for tumbling classes and NOT BUY A CARSEAT FOR YOUR KIDS. These people did not look like had much money and I'm betting they work the fundraisers to pay for the squad but I don't think there's any excuse for the lack of safety for your kids in the car.
We don't have tumbling class for 2 weeks but I know I'm going to see these people again. Why are people so dumb, ignorant, clueless, (insert word here)? Ugh.
On a good note- there have been no tears the past few practices and Logan's having a lot of fun. We don't go back for 2 weeks since the gym is closed but we'll be back the rest of August and at least part of September. We'll re-evaluate then!

Parenting classes
I'm really starting to think they should be mandatory. I keep reading story after story of stupid, neglectful, brainless parents. I just read THIS story about a 5mo old who drowned in the shower. Who the hell leaves a 5mo old in a shower alone?!
Then there's THIS woman who decided to make shoplifting a family affair. Oh and one more- what are these mothers thinking?
And a mother (I'm starting to question this word) who hid a knife and sawed off shotgun in her child's stroller! WTF?!
Then there are the moms who let their kids (ages 4 and under) stand with their heads thru the sunroof while in car line (yes she drove slowly thru car line with their heads sticking up thru the sunroof). Wanna see? I'm sure there are some readers who would say, oh that's not so bad but in my book, that's dangerous. (ETA: While I think this is dangerous, I don't think she's necessarily a bad mother- just poor judgement in this case- certainly not in line with the rest of these "moms")

Seriously, I'm thinking mandatory classes or some kind of test would be better than letting these people become parents.

Stupid!
Why is it teens think they are invincible? Okay, I know their brains aren't finished growing (thanks Dr Phil) and they aren't grown/experienced enough but you'd just think they'd know better!
As I was driving home tonight through my neighborhood, I spotted something weird on the car in front of me. Then I spotted the passenger side door open while they were moving. It never closed properly. I sped up a bit to see and it's the guy who lives or visits a house behind mine. He has 2 teens hanging onto the back of the car sitting on the trunk and I guess the inside was full or something too because the door wouldn't shut and I saw it open a couple of times like someone was trying to hang onto it. Do they not know how dangerous sitting on a moving vehicle is? People have died doing that. They weren't going 10mph either. They were doing a good 20 or so. WTH?

Dear motorcyclist....
The helmet does you absolutely no good if it's on the bike behind you and not on your head. Moron.

Makes my blood boil
It's a really good thing I'm not a cop. It's a really good thing that Logan will be going to a school within walking distance where I know people do the school zone speed limit(no choice as the road gets stacked up). I hate, hate, hate driving him to school thru the 2 school zones we have to go thru every morning. Car after car after car never slow down!!! Seriously, are they that blind they can't see a big ass flashing yellow light?? Maybe they should get OFF the cell phones! Thankfully, there are no kids going to school still at this time of morning- they are already in class but that's so not the point. I know I've touched on this before on my blog but it makes my blood pressure go up every day! I want to honk at them or get a license number or do something!
