Most of my loyal readers know that I live in the central FL area. We are under strict watering restrictions right now. No decorative fountains, lawn watering is limited to once per week and only during certain hours and there is no car washing allowed (with the exception of professional carwashes). Dh came up with idea to save the kids' bath water after they are done and use that to clean his (and sometimes my) car. He hates a dirty car and I hate the idea of spending $5-10 at a carwash every week. Green or Gross? Is he brilliant?
I had to get my BHB ladies' opinions and so far the consensus is that he's green. Yay! They even gave me the idea of a bucket in the shower to water the plants. Too bad I have a black thumb! I have no plants to worry about anyway- just for that reason!

For what it's worth, I think he's green too! However, where is he going to store the bath water until he needs it? Just wondering.
I was wondering the same thing. Also, I wonder how you explain that to the "water police"???
He doesn't store it, just uses it the same night.
H, I don't know how we'd explain it but I guess they could look in the bathtub and see it's still full? Or check and see that it isn't coming out of the hose? If anything we'd fight the ticket.
I think it's an awesome idea! Especially since Phil thinks that the water restrictions give him the right to spend $30+ on a professional car wash.
