Only one day left, so sign up quick! http://www.heavenlyhold.com/pages/contest.htmI'm starting to think about wraps although I really don't have the funds to buy one so I'll enter any and all contests to win one!
Bella and Ian both had their well child/baby check ups this morning.Ian is 38.5in and 33lbs so around the 65% on both.Bella was 23in and a bit over 10lbs and is in the middle of the chart too. She had 4 shots today. Poor thing. She only cried for a quick second. I refused the bandaids as they are just TOO sticky and are horrible to take off her skin. I did refuse the new oral RotaTeq vaccine though. It's just too new and from what I've read, it still can cause the same problem the old vaccine caused which is Intussusception - a blocking or twisting of the intestine. She's breastfed and not in daycare and I don't see why she needs it. Of course, I got yet another "lecture" about vaccinations and why we have them, blah, blah, blah. He was fine with me not getting it today and said I could come back next month for it but it's just not happening. All three of my kids are happy and healthy and that's what matters!
Well the plan tonight was to take Ian to TRU to spend his birthday money, hit Target and then Campbell's(ice cream) before heading home. Do you know how many toys TRU has? Dh is the slowest shopper too, especially at that store! Ian finally decided on a Radio Flyer Scooter and a small Star Wars Lego set. Logan got the same small Lego set. I picked up 2 tshirts for Ian and an outfit for Bella all on clearance. By the time we got out of there it was nearly 8pm so no Target for us! We did hit Campbell's though so Ian could have some birthday ice cream (a strawberry sundae) and then off to bed. I'm such a bad mommy too- I forgot to give him his gifts from us until it was already bedtime! I was waiting until dh got home but then we left and it slipped my mind. Thank goodness he doesn't know any different. LOL He can play with them tomorrow. It was a Toy Story tshirt, Buzz Lightyear and Zurg action figures, Buzz Color Wonder set and Dr Suess ABC game I got on clearance a while back.
Pre-K that is. After today, Logan only has 3 days left! They will all be fun days too. Tomorrow he has an Ice Cream Party, Thursday is his end of the year program and Friday they have a Luau party. He'll have 2 weeks off and then he'll be going to summer camp at the same school for 6 weeks. He'll still have his teachers too which will be great. Another 3 weeks off and he'll be in Kindergarten! I can't believe it. I know this summer is going to fly by too. My little boy is growing up way too fast!
Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all who serve our country! The kids and I had a nice relaxing day with friends. We grilled some food and just enjoyed a beautiful day. And it was actually realllly nice out! It wasn't muggy at all for a late May day. Perfect weather! And here's what happens when you have a birthday party and late night one day and another great party the next! He conked out in the chair about an hour after we got home.
She conked out soon after putting her in the swing.
Logan's still going! He watching dh play a video game.
Wed afternoon I heard a drip, drip, drip coming from the hallway. Oh no. I quickly stopped nursing the baby and went to see what it was. Our AC handler in the closet was dripping. I guess algae grows in the pipes over time and it backs it up so I had to call our AC company. They needed to come out anyway for our yearly maintenance. He came out yesterday and we needed a new part outside to the tune of $140. Ouch. Plus the regular maintenance fee. Ugh...we're all fixed there at least. So tonight I'm sitting in the new room and I hear drip, drip, drip. You have to be kidding me! Our new unit is dripping water onto the floor! WTH?! At least this one is under warranty still. We've had more problems with this unit than I can count. Guess who I'll be calling in the morning? On a holiday weekend no less!
In the aftermath of the earthquake in China, this Mom and police officer has breastfed 9 other babies besides her own so they would survive. Check out the video.
I'm not sure what to title this. Logan got mad at me the other day and told me "I'm not going to marry you Mommy."I told him "You can't marry me, I'm your mommy."He said it again. I repeated myself. He then said, "I'm going to break your heart."Oh heck no! We had a little talk about that and how saying stuff like that can hurt people's feelings. Where is he learning to talk like that? Is it just the age or stage he's at? Oh boy...
I told dh not to get me anything. We already have a Wii Fit coming tomorrow and we need to get a washer eventually but he didn't listen. THIS is what I got. He gave it to me early since I probably won't see him in the morning. I'm NOT complaining though. I love it! I needed a new one as mine went kaput and I'm not sure if it's worth fixing. I can't wait to take some video to share! Now I have one to throw in my diaper bag or purse. My camera phone takes a great picture but it's the slowest freakin thing and the moment is gone by the time it switches from phone to camera.I went ahead and got him his Hemp wallet from Rawganique. That's where I got his last one that he has worn out now. Hopefully it ships soon. While at Costco tonight I also picked up Gran Turismo 5 which he had asked for a month or so ago. I had just forgotten about it. It plays in HD and has a gorgeous picture. When he turned it on, I thought I was watching a movie at first with live people but they weren't! He's happy!!
Two young boys. Must have books, tv and video games. Also must own an extra fully stocked freezer as they Never. Stop. Eating.Okay, I'm not really selling them but they are eating me out of house and home right now. Are they both going thru a growth spurt all of a sudden? The last couple of weeks, Ian has had a voracious appetite. Waffles(plain), banana and milk for breakfast, dehyrated apple/pear chips or fruit bar for snack, whole sandwich or chicken nuggets, grapes or apples and pretzels for lunch, yogurt or other snack after naptime. He only sometimes eats dinner though, I guess it depends on what I made. Maybe it's just that he's getting better at eating but it just feels like he's always asking for more food. He's so energetic, he just burns it all off too. Must be nice.Logan has the same breakfast, a sandwich and apples or other snack for lunch, snack after school, will sometimes eat his entire dinner (and sometimes he won't touch it and goes to bed without eating) and then still asks for more food All. Night. Long. They are both going to have to get a job to help pay for food! LOL
Dh's new boss has decided they now only get off 4 holidays a year, which does NOT include Memorial Day or Labor day. How do you not get off on Labor Day?! I was looking forward to heading to WDW that day too. Coming from someone who was used to him having off and knowing the other long term employees, I can tell you that we are upset about it. Not that we can do anything about it though. This sucks! It's not like they will have a ton of business to do- everyone else is off! ugh...
My anniversary is this Thursday and I have absolutely no idea what to get dh. He needs nothing. The movie he wants came out today but he won't let me buy it full price (not that I'd want to!) so I'd have to wait at least a week or so for it to drop on Amazon. He doesn't read. He doesn't want clothes. It's our 9th anniv. which means Pottery(american) or Leather(modern) according to Wikipedia. Hmm he needs a new wallet. Maybe I can find him a new Hemp one since he's a veg. Off to find one!
Now these are some buses I'd like to see! Talk about creative! I think my favorites are the dogwalker and NGC shark buses!
Is it spring-y enough for you? I thought it was time for a change! Gotta keep it fresh, you know?
I just entered a new contest to win an Ergo babywearing carrier from Along For The Ride's website. Wish me luck!!
Believe it or not, this was taken with my Nokia N95 camera phone! I did crop and turn it B&W on the PC though.

I came across this (must be registered to read) thread on TBW and thought I'd share these photos. Check out all the different carriers from around the world! Some of the colors and patterns are gorgeous!
Ian loves to run around the house saying he's Super Fast! So I took this pic of him. I had it on action mode which doesn't use the flash I guess and this is how it came out. Pretty neat looking though! Just shows how "super fast" he really is!
Here's another. That's not my thumb btw, it's the couch edge that got in the way.
This will be a boring post but there will be some pics at the end! :)Before I hit the stores, I had to hit the bank. I haven't been in 3 weeks! Thank goodness our tax money is in there! Gas is too darn expensive to run over there every week.So today was shopping day. No, I didn't go shopping for myself. In fact, I returned 2 tshirts to Costco I had bought earlier this week. I did however do some stocking up at Costco on stuff that's less expensive than Publix (sorry Publix- it's harder times!). I've shopped at Publix so much that I pretty much know what I'm paying on stuff I buy week to week. Publix brand organic milk is actually cheaper than Costco brand right now btw and things like Eggos are on sale this week at Publix making them much cheaper! I bought Boca burgers, broccoli, snacks, organic juice boxes, etc. today though. I also ran to Publix for a few BOGO items like the above Eggos. I did have to come home and feed Bella in between but I guess I would have had to come home anyway. Frozen stuff will only last so long in the trunk (even with a freezer bag). So before I left this morning, I got some pics of the boys out working. Logan lasted maybe 5-10min (even though he said he wanted to earn some $$). Dh said Ian did a better job. LOL

Unfortunately, every single pile of leaves is still sitting out there and nothing else got done. Well, I take that back, we had some Verizon problems this morning and they were supposed to come back out so dh did clean up the kitchen/dining room area- at least somewhat.
I'm entering a contest over on Baby Sling Blog to win a pair of Baby Legs. I have to post a photo of me babywearing. Since I'm pretty new to it, here's my only photo.
While driving Logan to school this morning, I saw a cop car had pulled over a minivan. About darn time! It floors me that a lot of the time, it's moms and dads speeding thru the school zone! (yes, even some moms from Logan's school)And I don't know if I mentioned this before but the week Bella was born, I had to go to the peds office with her and dh drove us. We had to go thru the school zones to drop off Logan first and dh sped thru!!! I was like, What are you doing?! You're one of the ones I vent about on my blog! He said he never noticed it was a school zone. Seriously? You didn't see that big honkin flashing yellow light?! Aye yi yi...
I was trying to come up with something to write about today (darn contest is STILL going on) and nothing special has happened here so I started looking at news stories. Found THIS on MSNBC. I've seen tv shows about this before. Very weird! And how about THIS. How would you like to have been that agent?!
Who dressed these models (kids)? Some of the clothes are absolutely adorable but others don't look good together whatsoever IMO. I'm talking about Matilda Jane Clothing. Click thru the Spring 2008 collection (you'll need to click on the arrows & numbers to see all the pics). I love #6- it's soooo cute but then I click on 11, 15 and 33 and say Huh? I wonder what they cost...
